Early Years Foundation Stage

All members of staff are experienced and fully qualified dedicated professionals in childcare. Our fully trained manager has extensive experience of efficiently running a nursery. Other members of staff are qualified Early Years Practitioners with high-level qualifications up to BA (Hons) in Childcare.

Just like the children in our care we never stop learning. Staff are required to attend regular training
courses as part of their own professional development. All staff are DBS checked and a team of high qualified staff are trained in first aid and safeguarding

Staff carefully plan structured and balanced fun activities for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This is the statutory guidance that sets out the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five years of age.

The framework was developed with the help of parents, childcare professionals and educators. It helps nursery schools, childminders and parents to work together to provide children with a consistent learning experience in a secure, exciting and fun environment. It works towards giving your child the best opportunity to achieve the most that they can out of the earliest years of life.

Play is crucial to a child’s development socially, physically, intellectually, creatively, culturally, emotionally and spiritually. It is one of the best ways in which children learn about life. Only by experimenting and doing things do they learn what no one else can teach them.

Parents can find out more information about the EYFS, on the government website here.
